Congratulations to all who were fortunate enough to receive a Maine moose permit for the coming seaosn.  I guess this season will be known as the year of the repeats.  I don’t know how they did it but, several of our past moose hunting clients will be joining us again this season with permits in hand.   We are certainly looking forward to sharing the moose hunting experience old friends and new.

Even with record snow fall this past winter the reports this Spring are bright when it comes to moose.  Even though the old fashioned winter in norhtern Maine (zones 3 and 6 in particular) forced the moose into yards, they faired well over all.  Ample sightings and sign are encouraging and the reports of multiple calves bodes well for the future. 

With the cool temps and rain this is turning out to be a good growing season thus far.  We should have good antler growth should this trend continue.

We will be filming again this fall for volume 2 of “Answer the Call”.   We filmed several hunts last season and got some tremendous footage.  I look forward to see what we can capture on tape this fall.
